Every empty space deserves a second life. Every person deserves a place to call home.
The Birth of Abraham’s Tents
Abraham’s Tents is the brainchild of Charlie Attar, founder of Attaboy Property Services—born at the intersection of a lifelong love for architecture, a deep respect for sacred spaces, and an unwavering belief that housing should serve people before profit.
For as long as anyone can remember, Charlie has been drawn to building—not just structures, but places that matter. His most meaningful projects have always centered on sacred spaces and on supporting communities most often overlooked. But the true catalyst for Abraham’s Tents came in 2024, when a client asked Charlie to step into an occupied property to address tenant-related issues. What he encountered troubled him deeply.
He saw firsthand a system where low-income tenants were no longer viewed as residents, but instead as cash-flow instruments—“stable investments” rather than human beings. Rents were driven not by real operating needs, but by artificial formulas and yield expectations. Charlie knew in his core that this wasn’t right—and that there had to be a better way.
After deep reflection, Abraham’s Tents was born.
Charlie set out to prove a bold idea: that private capital and deeply affordable housing could coexist without exploitation. Through the Abraham’s Tent Initiative, he brings together properties, partners, and long-term stewardship to restore and operate housing for those who need it most. The result is housing that is dramatically more affordable and meaningful than other affordable housing models, without compromising dignity or quality.
The name Abraham’s Tents is no coincidence.
It is drawn from Abraham, our forefather—the father of faith, hospitality, and belief in God. Charlie also drew inspiration from his own grandfather, Abraham, whose home was always open to others. No questions. No hesitation. Just presence and responsibility. That same spirit of open doors, dignity, and accountability is the foundation of Abraham’s Tents.
This is not just a housing model.
It is a moral statement built in brick, steel, and community.
People first. Dignity always. Sustainability without exploitation.
